Enchanted by it's beauty and tranquillity
We had the pleasure of staying at Assynt House recently and were delighted and enchanted by it's beauty and tranquillity. The hosts were discreet and helpful. One of the many highlights was the wonderful cuisine prepared each evening by Graham. We would thoroughly recommend a stay.

The whole experience was amazing
The whole experience was amazing, the house is beautiful, comfortable and warm. All the bedrooms are of equal standard, the kitchen is spotless and there’s always a blazing fire at the end of the day. Graham and Elizabeth are fantastic hosts, low key and helpful when you need anything. The house stands in a lovely big garden overlooking forests, mountains and the sea, the sunrises and sunsets were magical. There were so many places to visit and things to do that we ran out of time so it’s a good job we’ll be back next year. I think my highlights were cycling round Loch Ness with a view of the loch on one side and the forest, lit up by the sun in all its Autumn colours, on the other and the walk along Port Mahonach beach followed by a bowl of Cullen Skink in Tain.

Another amazing week at Assynt House
We love Assynt House and have been coming every year (minus Covid) for the last 16 years. Our children have grown up enjoying the amazing landscapes and wonderful walks around the area and enjoying the fantastic hospitality shown by Graham and Elizabeth. Every detail is carefully considered and the house is so comfortable and welcoming. Graham's food every evening is a real highlight - it is delicious, always seasonal and fresh and tailored to all our various likes. We visited this year with friends and had a wonderful holiday exploring the area, visiting our favourite walks and cafes, relaxing in the fantastic fresh air. Highly recommend and we will be back next year! Thank you to Graham and Elizabeth for welcoming us again this year.
